My mind was filled with so much noise..I felt it was gon explode.

The sun was still in deep sleep but I was wide awake sitting in my pitch dark room.

I had disturbing thoughts which scares me as hell.

What if nobody reads it?

What if people leave because they don't like it?

What do I even write?

Phew.

Can I even start this up?

But..But..

If I don't do this,I'll be risking a lot.

> Imagine losing all my 770 followers.

> What if I just waste all my 8 months of building my personal brand.

> Imagine throwing away millions of $$

I said to myself

"I can't LOOSE all of these!"

I need to get to action ASAP!

Eddy's thread just came in hand like flash. I immediately devoured it and set to work.( Link at the end of mail)

I didn't mind having

A fancy name.

A pretty banner.

A professional landing page.

I just decided to do it anyway.

Btw I set all of these up in just 20min.

I chose bee hive. It was the easiest I could navigate through.

I did everything..

Used my name as the newsletter name..Used my picture as the logo.

Did some little setting up.

Wrote a short welcome email

And tada..

My email was live.

Made a tweet about it and i got around 10 subscribers!

It was a huge one for me.

Now,I had two more problems:

1.What to write about.

2.How to get more subscribers.

What to write about:

I can easily just copy and paste my threads or other people's work..

Nah..

I made a promise in my welcome email to take all of the lessons in this newsletter from my personal experience.

And I don't want to be someone who doesn't keep to her words.So I sat down and then asked myself this 2 questions:

What had happened in my life in the past.

What is happening in my life right now.

I had lots of story Worthy moments from these 2 questions.

I then,pick a story,and then attach a lesson to it.

I know I don't know how to craft a compelling story.

But it doesn't hurt if I try my best and develop my storytelling skill in the process.

Storytelling is more art than science and the best way to learn it is to understand what makes a good story then practice telling them until you get it.

Pro Tip: 80% of storytelling is about learning how to frame your story in a way that makes the story engaging and meaningful.

And that's what I'm practicing with my email.

Now,How can I get more people in my 'boat'?

I know of 3 ways:

1.Using a lead magnet.

2.Doing a giveaway.

3.Talking about your newsletter every day.

And I've tried all of them and the work well!

Especially that giveaway.

I got over 100 subs from it.

It's been 31 days and we are 235 Active subscribers!
