Welcome to 31 Active Subscribers!
Today's newsletter will be a 3
min read..
And it's going to be worth your time.
I promised to tell you how I manage building my personal brand and working a 9-5 without getting burnt out.
It's my personal system and it's can be used by every busy person:
9-5ers
Students.
Coaches.
Business owners
If you are any of the listed personalities above, then you're at the right place.
I'll be dividing the system into 3 parts..
We will be taking each part for the next 2 days.
We will be taking Part 1 today.
Part 1-
Content Creation 101:
Working a 9-5 or schooling and building a brand online can be hard!
But that's going to be a thing of the past from today..
So sit tight cause it's about to get tooo valuable 🔥🔥
Before I reveal my system to you…you need to know and master the foundations of content Creation.
And they are divided into 2:
1.Content Goal.
Everyone knows that anything without a goal will Fail completely..
So nailing your Content goal should be first thing you should do.
So here's my Content Goal-
Getting Ghostwriting Clients.
My content should be tailored around attracting Coaches, startups, business owners or anyone who can't write by themselves.
Now, this will move us to the second foundation
2. Content Creation strategy:
You need to create a strategy to help you be focused and consistent on your goal.
So you've got to answer this Questions:
<<<< Here's a case study >>>>
• Who is my audience?
> Coaches.
> Startups.
> Business owner's
• How to attract them?
> Talking about their deepest problems.
>Giving them solutions to their problems.
> Sharing testimonials of people i onced helped.
• What platform to use?
> Twitter.
• What formats will I use:
> Tweets.
> Threads.
• How often should I post:
> 4 Tweets daily.
> 2 threads weekly.
<>
All of these should be put in place in order to ensure that the content serves their purpose.
Now.. your content shouldn't just be about your audience..
It should also be about you..
That's why it's called a personal brand.
It should be:
40% building authority.
40% showing expertise.
20% personal story.
You get right?
So here's my step by step content creation system to ensure that I don't get burn out while building my brand:
1). Collect ideas.
Everything on Earth is about ideas.
Even on Twitter.
Ideas are what are modified to form tweets and threads.
As a 9-5er my ideation process is divided into 3 sub-levels:
a) Walk + podcasts:
The distance from work to my house is a 40-minute walk.
So…
During this time I listen to podcasts around my niche.
I voice record Ideas that stuck out to me…
( I can't type on the road,Seyi doesn't want her phone to get stolen)😂
I then convert them to tweets or threads later.
As my niche is writing, I listen to podcasts on it.
b) Books: I read books for 30 minutes each morning by 4:00 am.
I only read books I can apply immediately.
Especially books on Psychology/ Persuasion because I practice them with people every day.
While reading these books I jot down points that strike me.
c) Collect stories:
For 5 minutes each night...
I analyze my day for story worthy moments and I write them down.
I write them I'm my journal.
When I want to write a thread...
I search for a story that'll help communicate the lessons I want to pass across and use it.
( One of the importance of journaling)
2) Drafting the outline:
When I come across an idea for a thread...
I do research on the topic
Watch YT videos.
Listen to Podcasts.
And then draft the outline for writing before going to bed.
It would have topics and sub-topics that'll expand on the next day.
3) Brain dump:
I do this by 3am the next day.
I wake up…
Have my quiet time.
Ten take out my outline from the night before.
And start writing.
At this stage, I write out all my thoughts on the topic.
Stupid or dumb ideas?
I write them all.
I expand the topics by;
• Adding my own opinions.
• Asking how can I simplify this.
• Finding a story that resonates with the lesson.
All this would make my writing unique and different from everyone's own.
4) Editing:
During the day...
Or sometimes 24 hours after my brain dump, I do the editing.
I cut out filler words.
Correct omissions.
I add punctuations.
I then arrange it in a readable way for my audience.
5) 4 hours of deep work:
On Saturdays, I block off 4 hours of my time.
I go over the tweets from the last week...
I look for the ones that did well and do more of them.
I also go through my bookmarks for inspiration.
I get about 21 tweet ideas from this.
6) Automation:
After my deep work, I should have about 21 already made tweets.
I then schedule them over the weekdays.
I use the Twitter web app.
It's free.
I then use the rest of my week to focus on work.
While my audience keeps on seeing content from me.
So yeppee!
That's all for today.
Reading isn't just enough.
Implenting all you learnt today will change your content game.
Only if you take ACTION!
Part 2 will drop in your mail 14hrs from now.
Talk to you soon.
Seyi.
