I'll give each of you $500 each

If you noticed,I sent the previous mail around 8pm on Saturday.

So so unusual for me + it amazed the lazy part of me.

On a normal day,I would have just left it till the next day since most people don't really read mails in the night.

But I just had to post it.

I can't risk giving anyone $500k.

How does giving $500k and publishing a mail relate?

Lemme explain.

So I have this community of friends of about 5 persons who are creators on Twitter.

7 days ago we all outlined our weekly goals and the repercussion of not crushing the goalsl.

Some of the repercussions were crazy:

"I'll run naked through my community"

"I'll write a thread and 2 tweets for 2 members of the group"

Here's mine.

"I'll give each person $500 each"

Fast forward to last Saturday.

After the buzz and stress of work I came back home and I immediately went to do my laundry.

Before I was done it was already 7:00pm and I haven't typed out the mail.

I was confused + hungry at the same time,all I wanted was to type and publish the mail then dump my phone.

After sending the mail..

I received amazing replies from people who read it.

So I asked myself:

What if I didn't send it?

What if I didn't have the community?

Now do you see the importance/benefits of having a community??

You see in this life you can never make it on your own.

You can't make it as a lone wolf you need to find a pack of friends.

Why??

The lone Wolf gets killed easily but the wolf with a park get security,food and a sense of belonging.

Here are 9 benefits of having a community:

1.. Collaboration.

Two are better than one.

You can combine your knowledge and skills to create a profitable business.

Ex: Just like Dickie and Nicolas who created ship 30 for 30.

2. Accountability Partners.

Setting goals is one thing and Implementing those is another.

We humans are naturally lazy and we always want someone to watch us before we can take action.

Your community members can give you all the accountability you need.

3. A Push.

They are some days when you'll feel low and have thoughts of giving up.

Sharing what you're going through with your group will relieve you.

You'll be surprised by the motivation and assistance they'll give you.

4. Referrals.

I have seen people get multiple jobs just from their Network of friends.

Just master a skill.

Show proof that you know what you do.

You'll get referrals.

5. A family.

Your community is just like your family online.

It's where you feel comfortable to do anything you want.

The love and support of your community is one you'll never find in any social media platform.

6. Positive criticism.

Nothing beats having a group of honest and transparent friends who are ready to tell you the truth.

Even when it's gon hurt you.

7. Support System.

Do you wonder when you see a creator post and you see 10 retweets in 20 min?

They have a community!

Mind you this isn't an engagement group.

8. Better Decisions.

When 3-5 people put heads together to make a decision.

You bet it gon be the best decision.

Because we all have different perspective and bringing all our ideas together will make for a better decision.

9. It's fun.

The joy of hoping on video calls.

Cracking of jokes.

Laughing our hearts out.

Sharing ideas.

It's so much fun.
