I didn't expect this to happen so fast..

So yesterday, while journaling I went down the memory lane of how I started out on Twitter.

I opened my Twitter Account on the 13th of September 2022.

I can still remember that day,like yesterday.

I was an amateur copywriter desperate and anxious to make money at all costs.

At that Time,my family was going through a deep financial crisis.

( We were almost thrown out of our apartment)

So you can guess the kind of pressure I was under.

For the whole month of September,I was so lost..

I did only thing i knew:

Put out Tweets.

Mind you these tweets were quotes I read from books/YT videos.

I didn't:

Send any DM.

Engage..

Network.

I wanted getting clients just by tweeting Copywriting tips 🤡

(Stay with me)

I continued like that till the last week of October..

October 26th is the day I made the decision to build my brand on Twitter.

I got on a space where Francis Oleh was speaking..

And from all he said that night,I was convinced to start building my brand.

To this end..

I created a group of 10 Creators who were intentional about growth.

And we got on a challenge.

Get 1k followers in 30 days.

We wanted to get followers.

We started doing

100 Comments daily.

Sending Dms..

The results:

•. We didn't hit the goal.

•. We got burnt out.

•. 5 out of 10 gave up on Twitter.

Now,why am I sharing this story with you?

I see most people,you might be part of them..

Chase the wrong things:

Followers.

Money.

Engagement.

Calm down..

Don't roast me yet.

Getting all of these is nice.

But you are not expected to chase after them.

They are supposed to chase after you.

Now this can only happen when you so the right things:

> Master a Skill.

> Help people.

> Be Authentic.

> Consume good content.

> Build in public

> Network.

> Share your story.

"Be desperate in improving your life and skill set and all other material things will run after you"

Work on yourself.

Help others.

Go win!
